Ellema Zoobie is so excited to go to his new home: a little boy with a Mommy named Linda who submitted her application on 09/26 at 10:04am! Ellema read through all of the adoption applications and knew he was destined to be a part of one specific family. Here’s a little note he’s sending now to his new adopted family:

To my new little boy:

I would love to join your family, and thanks a bunch for offering me a good home. You can take me everywhere - even to the hospital when you undergo surgery. When you need to rest, I’ll be your pillow. When you feel cold, I’ll be your blanket. And when you feel scared or alone, I’ll be your friend . I’ve been stuffed FULL of well wishes and prayers from lots of friends, and I can’t wait to meet you! See you soon!

Week 2 Photo Contest Winner: Summer Vacations

You all submitted the CUTEST photos this week - amazing beach photos definitely topped the list.  Though the photo above had a slightly different “motif”, I loved EVERY element of it!  “Little Boy Blue Spends Summer Vacation with Grandpa” is what I’ve titled it…if you look closely, Grandpa and Grandson are working on a miniature train set that has been built IN THE FLOWER BEDS!  The greenery serves as a perfectly proportioned backdrop for the train, and the scene is even complete with an American flag.

It’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words…and though no explanation came with the photo (all of the above are just my additives), all kinds of thoughts came to mind: taking the time to enjoy the time spent with family, enjoying vacation in your own backyard, a train ride through time with Grandpa…I’d love to hear the real story behind it!

Here’s a little something for Santa to stick under the tree for the guys this year. Not really knowing the first thing about tools, I just interrupted the Cowboys game to consult my husband and his friend about this 40-piece set…I know, I know, but it’s not like I took them away from the interceptions and bad ref calls to ask what color curtains I should hang in the kitchen!

So here was my question: “What would you think if someone gave you a 40-piece socket set that wasn’t Craftsman or Snap-On?” (I just want you to know that by asking this question, I knowingly subjected myself to yet ANOTHER rendition of my husband retelling his tale of woe about how I used his $50 socket wrench for a hammer and broke it… .)
