Honestly, I’m afraid to test my water - I’m a little leary of what the test results would show. It would be interesting, however, to compare the water out of the faucet with the purified water that dispenses from the refrigerator. This tester only measures Total dissolved solids. It’s reading is produced in ppm (parts per miillion) and sure, it’s probable that the higher amound of total dissolved solids in your water could have a higher chance of having an contaminant in it. But the truth is that this meter could tell you that your water is unsafe to drink when it is in actuallity safe to drink. But the scarier scenario is that because this meter does not test for bacteria, it could tell you that your water is SAFE to drink when it is NOT. Just be advised.
