Beware Of Purchasing Toothpaste At Discount Stores!
Discount and Dollar Stores sell toothpaste at a greatly reduced price, though the actual contents of the tube can be very harmful. These discount stores have been under investigation for a couple of years, but the toothpaste is still being sold in some locations.

If you must purchase toothpaste from a discount store, be sure to AVOID the following:
1.) Expired toothpaste: This isn’t really harmful, but loses its effectiveness, and defeats the purpose for purchasing.
2.) Foreign manufactured toothpaste: If the toothpaste is manufactured outside of North America, it likely contains 10 times the fluoride of US and Canadian pastes, which can be EXTREMELY harmful if swallowed, especially in young children.
ALWAYS SHOP WISELY!

Does anyone know if there are any other identifying marks on the tubes to know they are manufactured outside the USA? Thanks.
All toothpastes sold in the US should bear a seal of approval from the American or Canadian Dental Association. If that seal is not present, the toothpaste was likely manufactured outside of the US (and Canada).
