Thanks, Thrifty Home!  Who doesn’t love free paint?!  Glidden gave away free quarts of paint in July, and they’re giving away more free paint this weekend!  (Read below to see my “catty” work of art from the last Glidden promotion.)  To receive a free quart of paint, choose a color online using Glidden’s Color Visualizer, register, then print and mail your request form, along with a label from an existing can of paint.

So here’s the cat’s meow on the last free quart of paint…that black box pictured below (the one underneath the crazy plant) was an old metal woodgrain filing cabinet with a bent drawer front that I found in our garage.  It was (almost) useless.  I drug it out from the garage, threw out the bottom drawer, painted the entire cabinet solid black to match the kids’ movie shelves upstairs, turned it sideways, plopped a plant on top, and…stuck the cats’ covered litterbox into the opening where the drawer had been removed!  Ha Ha!  No hissing – the cats love it!  (And it even houses extra cat pan liners, litter deodorizer, and a scoop!)

 

And here’s the cat (the friendlier of the two) who enjoys his new “facilities” almost as much as he enjoys computer time.  Mr. Cat stays in the office with me at night while I’m writing these lovely posts – sometimes he uses the keyboard for a pillow, sometimes for a footstool…and sometimes for both.  Regardless, he’s a fixture between the keyboard and monitor, and stays caught up on iMommies by osmosis!
