Happy Baby Zoobie Day To Yoobie!

129

So today is my big birthday…29 years ago ;) , my parents drove to the hospital, signed the adoption certificate and took me home. So I thought, “what better way to celebrate today than with a Baby Zoobie Weekend Adoption Event?”. You all remember Mashaka and Rhaxma…well, now they have a brand new baby cousin who needs a home.

Meet Baby Ellema Zoobie…

A few things you should know about Baby Ellema before completing the application:

1.) He’s an elephant! (He’s much smaller than most elephants, however, and will stay this baby size forever!)
2.) He doesn’t eat anything, but can carry his own soft fur blanket in his tummy, along with other small toys that your little one may choose to tote.
3.) The blanket he comes with is perfectly sized for your baby at 23″ X 29.5″, and may be used detached from Ellema, or securely attached with a zipper.
4.) When laid flat, Ellema is a soft, perfectly sized pillow for your little one’s head!
5.) He comes with his very own Baby Zoobie collar (a little something to remind him of his Zoobie family heritage).

Baby Ellema Zoobie would love to find a home where he, too, may enjoy a wonderful life with a baby who will take him everywhere (he can even fit in the diaper bag or hang onto the stroller)! The adoption application process is very simple: just leave a comment below indicating your interest in adopting Ellema, and at the end of this big birthday weekend (Tuesday, September 30th), he’ll pick a new family from the list of those who submitted comments/applications!

Happy B/day, Jennifer. I’m sure my 2 1/2 y o doberman Dillon would love to adopt Ellema, the elephant, as he was adopted last year…..but he’d like the little elephant to go to some 2 legged child who really needs a special companion!!

Eve, Diva & Dillon very special Dobermans Diva is a 12 y o retired therapy dog, and Dillon
is a therapy dog in training (certifled to visit hospitals, nursing homes etc.)

I want to express my sincere thoughts and prayers to the little guy who is going in for openheart surgery(Linda, 26. September 2008, 10:04) . I agree with Kim ( Kim Gates, 26. September 2008, 10:29 ) – I also think that Ellema would make a wonderful companion for all he will endure during this delicate procedure. He will need Ellema to bring him comfort and companionship. God bless this little boy and his family.

P.S. Happy Birthday to you, Jennifer!

  16. Paige says:

We have had our application in for elephant adoption for quite a long time, but there just don’t seem to be that many available! We have a loving home with many kids, lots of arms for hugging, and lots or elephant treats. Please consider our family!

  17. chava says:

I would LOVE to adopt Ellema. He is so cute and cuddly. I’ve collected elephant pictures, figurines since I was 2 – my grandmother and Aunt would always bring them back from their travels so Ellema would be able to see his kind all over the house.

  18. Kyle says:

Wow! There are so many deserving families to choose from. You’re going to have a tough time deciding.

I’m going to throw my name in the hat too, just for fun. I have two children of my own, but Ellema would not be going to them. My husband and I have recently completed our foster care training. We are expecting to be called any day now for some kids. (We were already called a couple weeks ago just before we were complete, to take a 2- and 3-year-old. We were lacking CPR then, so could not be considered.) I would love to present Ellema to a child that comes in to our home.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  19. Kvran says:

My daughter and our family would be tickled blue if could adopt Ellema. What a sweetie!!! My daughter wants to be a vet when she grows up…..she would love it and take care of it~
Thanks for your consideration! Love & kisses for a beautiflu bably elephant!

  20. jackie says:

My little 2yr old boy is longing for a friend like Ellema at home! My boy is a snuggler and likes to read stories with his friends and if Ellema is okay with that, we would love to adopt him! It sounds like so many others could use his companionship though. Thanks!

  21. How Cute! I just know he would love to live at our home, we have 3 little sets of hands that would love to take care of him.

  22. LISA says:

WELL HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOTH OF YOU! I AM “IN THE PROCESS” OF MAKING BABY #2 AND WE ARE ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF ADOPTING # 3. SINCE THE ADOPTION PROCESS CAN BE A MINIMUM OF A YEAR’S PROCESS….WE HAVE STARTED NOW, THIS WAY BY THE TIME THE SECOND CHILD IS BORN, WE WILL KNOW THE SEXUAL PREFERENCE OF OUR 3RD CHILD. (MY HUSBAND DOESN’T WANT TO BE THE ONLY MAN IN THE HOUSE!! ) SO IF OUR SECOND CHILD IS A GIRL…THEN A BOY WE WILL ADOPT…IF THE 2ND CHILD IS A BOY…THEN THE SEXUAL PREFERENCE DOESN’T MATTER!! ELLEMA WOULD BE SO LOVED IN OUR HOME BY OUR CURRENT ONLY CHILD….SHE WOULD START GETTING THE FEEL OF HAVING ANOTHER TO LOVE AND LEARN THE MEANING OF ADOPTION AS WELL.

GOD BLESS THOSE WHO SUPPORT AND HONOR THE ADOPTION PROGRAMS!!

    TAKE CARE! LISA

P.S. MY BIRTHDAY IS ON OCTOBER 6TH AS WELL…SIMILIAR TO ANOTHER READER!!

  23. Eve says:

No one could love you, Ellema, like my Andrew could! You would have a nice, comfy bed to sleep on and so much love. If you don’t pick us, I hope you are well-loved with another family and we’ll have to look into adopting one of your friends Think about it….

  24. Jill Bishop says:

SOOOOOOO CUTE!!!! My little 7 month old baby girl would LOVE to snuggle up to Ellema!!!

  25. Amanda says:

Greetings Ellema! It’s my birthday too! There is a little girl growing in my tummy who almost had a too early birthday this weekend too! Maybe she was just trying to meet you! The Doctor told her she needed to grow some more so she has to wait a few more weeks! She’s had a rough time of it and I know would love to have someone to hold and love when she first meets the world. You would be one of our own. Take Care, Ellema, wherever your path leads you.

  26. Kay says:

oooo, a whole 29? Next year is the big one sweetie! After that its easier, or was for me. I just count backwards now! LOL, actually I am 47 so I’m closing in on the half-way mark (yeah, I am thinkin I’ll live to be 100 – only the good die young!) Anyway, I have a little grandson that would just love this cute elephant!
By the way, thanks for bringing us the best of the best!

  27. Rachel B. says:

We just found out that we’re having a little boy, due in March. I’m sure he would give Ellema the Elephant lots of love, cuddles and coos. =)

  28. jenny says:

How precious! We definately need something as cute as this to bribe my daughter away from her current (yes, it’s Christmas themed) blanket. She would love to have something like this!Happy Birthday by the way!
