I too am less than excited about trusting the coupons from this site. I tried this one and the Sears coupons and both were fakes. Is there a way to have the legitimacy verified before posting them? Thanks.

Same story, different state. Tried to use in Wichita, KS and they wouldn't accept it. Thankfully they didn't embarrass me and yell that it was fraudulant in front of the whole story like other people. But I love all the other good deals on this website. Thanks!

Hi, here in WV they said this coupon was fraudulant and they asked if I could say where it came from because he (the manager) was trying to find out. I personally felt it looked funny since it printed so plainly--no http://americaneagle type around the bottom of print out like most internet coupons

I tried to use mine today, and the manager here in Tallahassee, FL told me that this coupon was sent out by a hacker to their mailing list. It is, apparently, missing a certain authorization code of authenticity. She told me that some stores were honoring it before they received word from corporate. Thanks for sharing with us!

Does not work in Phoenix area American Eagle store either. Like others I was told it was a fraud. BUT they did give me 20% off my purchase anyway so at least that was better than nothing.

I recommend not attempting to use this coupon anymore. Though many have used it successfully, there are enough issues surrounding its acceptance to warrant avoiding the potential frustration and humiliation.

Unfortunately, not all companies handle their own coupons with grace (as we saw a couple of months ago with Kmart, for example). I'm thankful that many were able to use the AMERICAN EAGLE-PUBLISHED coupon successfully. For those of you who were less fortunate, I apologize for the frustration. There will be other opportunities for great savings down the road, and this one should simply go the way of Juicy Juice.

(For those of you who don't remember the Juicy Juice fiasco...Nestle published a coupon good for up to $3.50 off any Juicy Juice product - which meant free Juicy Juice from any retailer that accepted internet coupons. The coupon was a PDF that could be printed as many times as needed. After "coupon remorse", Nestle withdrew the coupon and tried to declare it fraudulent, even threatening to press charges for anyone who used it. The coupon was hosted on the Juicy Juice website, and there was nothing fraudulent about it...just an apparent ill-planned promotion that Nestle regretted after enough free juices were redeemed.)

Again, some money-savings are simply not worth the cost of personal frustration, and this appears to be one of them.
