Invitation To The My Princess Closet Virtual Dance Recital
You’re invited to attend a Virtual Dance Recital
(Featuring Rosy Cheeks, the highly-acclaimed ballet dancer from My Princess Closet)
All who attend will have the opportunity to win…a Big Sister Ballerina!

My Princess Closet (one of my favorite “girly girl” stores) sells everything from amazingly ornate costumes to creative toys, and a multitude of things in between. Our latest treasure hunt through “THE Closet”, however, resulted in a Rosy Cheeks Big Sister doll, and an adorably authentic ballet outfit. By itself, the doll is cute with incredibly soft yarn hair, and perfect for a younger aged child, but it’s the combination of the doll AND the ballet outfit (with coordinating ballet slippers!) that give it that special boutique touch…a child’s unspoken gentle whisper of, “Yes, I really AM a princess”. What better way to showcase that elegance than with a dance recital?

Perhaps, what makes My Princess Closet so unique is that it’s simply more than “just another children’s store”. We have two daughters in our family, and have, indeed, shopped a multitude of girl’s boutiques throughout the years…some have been really fantastic, and some were less than the complete package. While I don’t pretend to know everything about children’s specialty shops, the difference between a great boutique and every other specialty store is this:
Children can be spoiled with any varieties of gifts and toys that boast, “Look at me!”, but it’s the quiet, unpretentious approach of graciously accepting the tiaras (that all of our girls were born to wear!), that truly separates the spoiled from a more honorable class of young princesses. THAT’S the fine line in perspective that’s captured by My Princess Closet. How is that fine line recognized, created, and subsequently conveyed to shoppers? It all begins with the vision of those behind the company. I don’t personally know the owners of My Princess Closet (a grandmother and a mother, with input from the daughter!), but it’s obvious that their vision for even the youngest of young princesses is incorporated into their product lines and service offerings.
(If your family is filled with little princes only, don’t stop reading yet! Everyone is invited to attend the recital, and should your name be drawn, you’ll have the option of sending a Rosy Cheeks Big Sister ballerina doll to a little princess currently hospitalized at the Yale New Haven Childrens Hospital.)
If you’d like to attend the My Princess Closet Virtual Dance Recital starring Rosy Cheeks Big Sister, please RSVP by leaving a comment below. The recital (drawing) will be held on May 3rd, and one attendee will be selected from the names of those who submitted their RSVP in the Comments section. The winning attendee will receive a Rosy Cheeks Big Sister Doll and coordinating recital attire (to be shipped to their home address or donated to Child Life of the Yale New Haven Childrens Hospital).

In the meantime…please do feel free to practice your favorite dance numbers.

One two-year-old ballerina here. Her first recital is in 3 weeks. This doll would be perfect to cajole into dancing and reward her for working so hard. She loves to dance and her dolls always follow suit in her tiny little hands. Thanks for the invitation to this recital.
Thanks for the invitation! I have two princesses (2 1/2 and 4). The 4 year old is having her ballet pictures taken on May 3 and her first recital the following month. They would both love this doll. It’s so cute!

My little princess ballerina would absolutley cherish this gorgeous Rosy Cheeks Big Sister doll. In fact, she just became a real “Big Sister” and will be performing in her very first dance recital next month.
How adorable is this?! I was raised with all brothers so I’m loving all the “girly” things that come with having a daughter!
My two year old Princess has just started talking about ballerinas. This is a wonderful way to continue her introduction to ballet!
My princess is 17 and completing her 14th year of dance. I would love to be part of this to help another little princess!
How sweet! My little one has her dance recital coming up and this would make a wonderful “congratulations” present - that and I can forward the site to the grandma’s for present ideas
Mia is RSVP’ing for the recital : )
Thanks for another great posting, Jennifer!
What fun - my youngest princess would love this!
Me and my grandaughter would love to be there!
My two year old loves to do ballet and would be delighted to attend the recital and possibly win the doll!
My daughter would be thrilled to attend the recital. Thank you for the invitation!
We love dress-up and already have our own tutu! My little princess would love a little princess doll to dress -up with her!
This doll would be the perfect birthday present for my 4 yr old granddaughter. She lives with her mommy and daddy at her great grandmas house right now, (A little under the weather luck brought them there) and most of her toys were put in storage because of the lack of room. I know this little princess doll would be the perfect ‘best friend’ for my little princess.
My daughter Caroline is in two dance classes. She practices her dance routines at home also. Thank you much for postting this.
My daughter & I would love to attend!
She is wanting to learn more about dance- knowing her, she would donate the doll….
This is really neat- I will show Bekah!
We would love to attend! Roo had a scheduling conflict (umm, naptime) with her dance class and misses it. And she is, herself, a rosy-cheeked big sister. Just with brown curls!
My DD is definitely a little princess and her first recital is coming up soon - this would be great “practice.”
My little girl Lily loves ballerinas! She is only two, but dreams of being a ballerina when she grows up. Every day we have “dance class” at our house when she dances to any and all types of music. This would be wonderful for her!
I’m in, my daughters would both LOVE this little ballerina. The oldest is starting ballet in June, and both are definitely princesses!
My princess would love this!
I am using my grammy’s e-mail address to write. My name is Kira, I am 12 and I was in ballet for two years. I wasn’t very good then but I practice and think I am a good ballerina now. It is my dream to be a ballerina. Grammy says I would make a good one because I am tall and thin. Grammy thinks I am good at everything. I collect everything ballerina and don’t have a lot of things, we have three kids in our family, but would love to add this to my collection. If I outgrown my collection I would like to donate it to a children’s ward in a hospital. Some of those children don’t have very much to cheer them up. My great grandmother worked in a children’s aids unit and told us about the children. We cried for the children that no one visits or picks up all the time.
MY goodness I showed my little princess (WOW) this and she is just in love now!
We love your site by the way!
My daughter is in love. She swears she’s going to be a REAL princess when she grows up!
I am RSVPing, thanks for the invitation. We can’t wait.
I want to come! I would love to see my little princess become a ballerina.
Emma and Queen Meg will be there in style! She is quite excited being that we had to move in December of this past year and so she has had to wait until this upcoming fall to begin her ballet classes again. There have been tears for missing out on the spring performances! (Although cheaper for me!) Count us in! Thanks!
My three granddaughters would love to play with this princess Our dance recital s not until June 16th. So we should be able to attend one sooner. I do think this is a great give a way
Love the doll. My daughe loves the ballet, thanks to an older friend. The doll looks just like her older sister (who was killed 8 years ago) did in her ballet outfit. I know she would cherish this “friend”, an would love to know more about the people and business that “she” comes from.
Adorable! My BF has 3 little girls (2 of which have birthdays coming up in May and June) and I’d love this for them!
I would love to attend the recital!! I have a niece that would love a ballerina doll. She will be moving halfway across the country from her loving aunt (me) in June when her Air Force mommy goes to her new duty station, and I would love to be able to send a dolly along with her to keep her company!!
We would love to attemd the recital. Thanks
What gorgeous stuff. I have two dancers & I would love to attend this!
RSVP - Yes! We would love to attend the Dance Recital! We will of course bring flowers for the perfomers and will practice our extra loud applause so they know how much we appreciate them and their hard work.
My daughter has very recently re-discovered her inner-girl and is becoming obsessed with dresses and dance again so this would make a wonderful treat for her or her very dear friend who has a recital of her own coming up. Thank you for sharing!
rsvp–My little princesses actually have their dance recital the next weekend, so I’ll be free to attend. That’s a darling little doll, and we’d love to invite her to our family.
OMG I have one 5 year old and it looks like that is the only girl I will ever have she thinks she is a Princess, Of course so does mommy and daddy she would love this!!!
RSVP - My Princess Closet Virtual Dance Recital
My daughter would absolutely love to attend the Dance Recital. My daughter has loved ballet since she was three and would to see real ballerinas dancing. I love watching my sweetie when she dresses up just like the ballerina’s she watches on ballet tapes and tries to learn each of the steps she sees. It’s kinda neat to she her enthusiasm and determination to dance like the ballerina’s see watches.
My 4yr old princess Julianna would love to attend.
Three year old Allison Cate truely is a princess and a wonderful big sister and her little brother Adam and I would love to reward her with this precious gift. Thanks So Much.

What fun! My little princess will be turning 3 that day!
Wow, this is so neat! I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old who are both princesses. They are so funny and keep me entertained. The little one copies every single thing the older one does. The older is so dainty and petite, a real girly girl princess. The little one has big feet, big hands and is quite a fiesty princess. They will both love this!
Thanks for the invitation.
Leslie
