Thanks, I Heart CVS!

Tips for Beginners:

  • The ExtraCare Bucks (ECBs) will print at the end of your receipt and can be used like cash to pay for future purchases.
  • Most ECB deals have limits to the number of times they can be repeated.  The limits are placed at the ExtraCare card level, so if your family has two ExtraCare cards, you can “double the deal limit”.
  • If you’re just starting out and want to save as much money as possible, check out in multiple transactions, and use the ECBs from one transaction to pay for another transaction.
  • Scan your ExtraCare card at the kiosk before shopping (last week a $5 off $30 coupon printed on the first scan!).

You do an outstanding job of connecting online coupons with rebate offers with weekly ads. When you suggest pinting 2 coupons (ex Plantars nuts), I sometimes reach the print limit @ 1. Are you using a different printer or PC to print add’l coupons on some offers? Thank you for your time.

    • Thanks, Martha – usually the common coupon sites allow you to print two of each coupon. You can either click the coupon twice, or click once, and then use your browser’s back arrow button and refresh.

That being said, I’ve noticed the same difficulty with Coupons.com this week, but thought it was just an error on my machine. I generally post only the number that can be printed from one computer (last week I tried doubling it to assume that everyone had access to two computers, but that wasn’t very popular!).

Anyone else having the same difficulty?

The is a CVS opening here soon and I can’t wait to take advantage of these great deals.

  3. Robyn says:

If you could give us a tutorial or a walk-through on what the Walgreen’s ECB’s are and how we use them, that would be awesome! I’m one of those people who needs to know what I’m doing before I go into the store so I don’t feel stupid at the counter! Thanks so much for all you help us out with – in this economy, we all have to stick together!
