Stock The Pantry 03/13/09 (UPDATED): HP Printer Ink
My original post (and the HP shopping cart design) made things a little confusing yesterday, so here we go…in more detail, this time!

Either I’m crazy, or this is a really good deal!
(Don’t feel compelled to answer that
.)
What makes this deal great
1.) When purchasing ink cartridges from HP’s My Print Rewards, automatically take $10 off of a $50 purchase with coupon code SU8697.
2.) If purchasing two twinpacks, receive a $20 gift card and free TaxCut software (one tax program per twinpack).
3.) With each purchase, earn additional discounts toward each purchase.
4.) Ink cartridge purchases are shipped free with next business day delivery.
HOW to make this deal great:
1.) Click HERE to register with HP My Print Rewards.
2.) Select two ink cartridge twinpacks and add them to your cart (they can be different twinpacks, as long as you have two).
3.) At the top of the page, click View Cart.
4.) When your cart opens, you should see a total of five items (two twinpacks, 1 $20 gift card, and two TaxCut programs).
5.) Below the cart list, two discounts will be displayed ($20 discount for the gift card that was added to your cart and $0.02 for the two free TaxCut programs).
6.) The order subtotal on THIS page should be exactly the total of your two twinpack cartridges (with free shipping/no tax).
7.) Scroll further down the page and select Continue Checkout.
8.) From the Shipping Page, if you’ve registered with My Print Rewards in Step (1), your name and email address will be displayed. Enter your password created in Step (1) and select Sign In. (From the shipping page, your order summary is displayed on the right side of the page and your order subtotal on THIS page should still be exactly the total of your two twinpack cartridges, with free shipping/no tax.
9.) From the Payment page, scroll down and enter coupon code SU8697, and then click Add. Your new order subtotal should now reflect the $10 coupon discount.
Example
Products subtotal: $82.00 *
Rebate: -$20.02
Coupons (remove) -$10.00
————————–
Order subtotal +$51.98
Shipping & Handling +$0.00
The $20.02 rebate is NOT the gift card. It is merely the deduction of the cost of the gift card/TaxCut programs, which were added to the Products Subtotal.
10.) Complete the Shipping/Billing information and continue checkout. You should pay for two twinpacks and tax only.
11.) Receive two ink cartridge twinpacks, one $20 gift card, and two TaxCut programs.
Basically, in the example above, you would have paid $51.98 +tax for two twinpacks, but will receive a $20 gift card, which ultimately brings your bottom-line cost to $31.98…for four ink cartridges ($7.99 each).
Does this sound like a better deal than what was posted yesterday (or am I just used to paying too much for ink
)?

The TaxCut program wasn’t added but I didn’t really need it anyway. They have a livechat option but I didn’t use it. They may be able to help you.
I tried exactly as you said but it doesn’t give me the TaxCut software. What am I doing wrong?
I didn’t receive the TaxCut Software either. Do you know how long this promotion lasts? I couldn’t find an end date anywhere on the site.
The TaxCut software promo has been modified, and is now only offered with toner purchases…the $10 coupon is valid through 03/21/09.
Doesn’t come out to a great deal for my printer. I would maybe have done it for the whole package, but without the TaxCut probably not. My total comes to 72.98 + tax, but the same ones (OEM cartridges, not a generic) at WalMart would be 49.96 + tax. I know this promo includes a $20 GC, but even with that I would pay more than buying locally when I’d use the card on my next purchase because it would bring that total down to 52.98 + tax. Glad it works out beneficial to some though.
It worked great for me and I got the free tax program even though i don’t need it. It was easy and will end up saving me a lot! Thanks!
I ended up comparing to Amazon, and got a better deal there. Thanks for making me aware of this promotion, though! It was a close deal
