Life Cereal

Thanks to Brenda and Sara at Be Thrifty Like Us for sharing this bowl of cereal news!

Shop Rite Stores: Malt-O-Meal cereals are on sale 10 for $10, and a purchase of 10 is not required.  Click HERE to print coupons for $1.50 off each package of cereal.

Safeway-Owned Stores:  From March 5th through March 11th, a variety of cereals are on sale 5 for $5.  Use the coupons HERE, HERE, and HERE to pay even less.  (With Life cereal coupons from these links, cereal purchases would cost nothing out of pocket.)  You can also use the Total and Cheerios coupons HERE and HERE

My Tom Thumb is doing this promotion, but last time I was there, I was told they don’t take black and white coupons anymore. All I have is a B&W printer. :(

  2. Elizabeth says:

Safeway in my area also has Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, NATURE VALLEY GRANOLA BARS, Curves Granola Bar, Caribou Coffee Bars and Fiber One Bars on sale for $2 each, but if you buy them in multiples of 4, they are $1 per box. For the Betty Crocker Snacks, it’s not such a great deal, but for all of the other bars it’s wonderful! If you have coupons, it’s even better.

  3. Elizabeth says:

BTW, the Safeway deal on the snacks is only good through the rest of today.

  4. Klemens says:

This is great! I love cereal! My family eats like 5 huge bags a week!

  5. Becca says:

I had to comment on the Safeway cereal deal going on right now! The buy 5 for $5 includes the Total Cranberry Crunch which had a peelie coupon “Buy any combo of three GM cereals, Betty Crocker Fruit-Flavored snacks, Nature Valley Granola Bars or Big G Cereal Bars, get one free”. So I put 3 cranberry crunch and 2 Total Raisin Bran in my cart. I had a $1 off coupon for 2 Post cereals. This is how it rung up:
    3 cranberry 9.00+2 raisin bran 6.00 for a total of $15.00
    -10.00 promo
    -1.00 scanned coupon
-4.69 B3GO peelie coupon(the computer subtracts the full price, even thought the coupon says up to $3.91)
I had to grab some candy by the checkout to bring my total over 0.00!!!

For my 2nd transaction I bought 5 Life cereals for which I had (4) 1.00 internet coupons and 3 Post Honey Bunches of Oats w/ choc which I had (2) 2.00 internet and (1) 1.00 off coupons.
My total came to $2.97. Somehow the $10 off got rung up twice so it looked like the store owed me $7 so the manager was called over. He said that they no longer accepted internet coupons at this Safeway…then ended up accepting them this time :) .
End result= 13 boxes of cereal for $2.28—that is a mere .18 cents a box!!!!!
Thank you so much for the heads up on this deal!!!

  6. Angela says:

Totally got my five boxes of cereal and didn’t need there 5 for $5 coupon. Had coupons for all my cereal so they were free. Bought four boxes of Fiber One granola bars for $1 each. I had the .60 cents off coupons but for some reason they didn’t work. Oh well, $1 a box is still amazing for the Fiber One bars!

  7. Stacey says:

Do you have to download the coupon program to print out these internet coupons? My virus protection said that they could be spyware or a virus on it. Anyone know? Anyone come across any problems?? Thanks!

  8. Katie says:

How can I get the 5 for $5 coupon? I didn’t get one in the mail. Is it in the store? Or is it possible to print one?

  9. Valarie says:

This comment is for Christina at the top and anyone else who has run into problems with Tom Thumb’s new coupon policy. I had a challenge with them last week over this and made some phone calls. The new policy is that they will only accept one internet printed coupon per like item per visit. So, you can’t buy three Cherrios and use three internet coupons for them. The stores have a tendency to misinterpret their own policies. Challenge what they told you by asking the manager to show you the policy. They have copies of it at the Service Desk.

  10. Lisa says:

ARGH! I don’t live near any of the stores you guys listed! Does anyone know if the “Central Shop Rite” stores in Michigan are doing the 10 for $10 Malt-o-Meal cereals? I can’t find their ads online and I don’t want to make the 1 hour drive unless some free cereal is involved. I have lots of the $1 off coupons!

  11. Laurie S says:

Hi, I’m new to this site.
I have run into the problem of the stores refusing to use the internet coupons they say because of fraud. And also I wonder why the coupons don’t always scan?

What is the point of the couponing web sites if the stores won’t honor them?

  12. Katie says:

Just wanted to say I’ve gotten 15 boxes of cereal for free! Thanks
