Stock The Pantry 03/03/08: Free Animal Crackers
UPDATE:
Check your local Target price before printing large quantities of coupons!
Not sure how the rest of you are faring, but I’ve received 23 emails about the Target price of Barnum’s Animal Cookies…10 readers have reported great luck with the $0.50 price, but 13 have reported $1.00 prices.
Can’t post this without singing, “…Animal crackers in my soup, in my soup…” (who puts animal crackers in their soup anyway?). Unfortunately, I can’t remember the rest of the song, but I was going to reword it anyway, “…Free animal crackers at Target, at Target…”

SuperTarget has a new printable coupon for $1 off the purchase of 2 Nabisco crackers or cookies. The coupon is good through March 29, 2008, and can be used to purchase two small boxes of Barnum’s Animal Crackers (priced at $0.50 each). Use one coupon for each two-box purchase, and they’re free!
Click HERE for the SuperTarget coupon (or print from the gift registry kiosk inside Target stores). Print one coupon for every two boxes you intend to purchase.
While you’re there…
1.) The free string cheese is still available through this Saturday, March 8th.
2.) The $0.19 Dole Salad is good through March 31st, using THIS coupon (found on page 17).

Can you use these SuperTarget deals at regular Targets?
Oops… saw the answer to my question on another post. New problem: I don’t see the Animal Crackers coupon on their website – help!
Hi, Kate! The coupon pictures a package of OREOs, but the wording is “$1 off 2 packages of Nabisco cookies or crackers”…and Barnum’s Animal Crackers are a Nabisco brand.
We have just a reg. Target here, but I’ve done the string cheese deal and it worked great. (We’ve gotten pounds of free string cheese over the past few weeks.)
I also can say that printing the coupons in store works. It is a bit tricky to find them, but I’ve done it. You select the option that says “shop target.com” and can find the coupons there.
Is there a way to make the Dole salad coupon print larger?
Just ran to Target down the street. The animal crackers are 99cents a box, so still coming out at 49-cents a box after the coupon, not free. (2 boxes per coupon)
KT, there are usually two sizes of these boxes…the smaller one (which is usually hanging on a strip near an endcap) is $0.50. Of course…the prices could vary by store.
I went to Target today, March 3, and no coupons for the animal crackers was printed when I printed coupons from the Target computer. Any ideas? Thanks,
GREAT deal on the cookies – except we don’t have a super target – only a reg. target, and their cookies were $.99 each, so we got two packs for $.99! I still bought 8 packs, and with my 16 mo. old daughter, that should still last a while!
“Animal Crackers in my soup,
Lions and tigers loop-d-loop.
gosh oh gee don’t i have fun
with animal crackers in my soup”
Or something like that! Gotta love Shirley Temple!
I went to my SuperTarget and the 2oz box of Animal Crackers is .99¢, so not Free for me. Thanks for posting though and good luck to those who are getting them for free.
Neither of my Targets has these at all. I was told they don’t carry them anymore, and when they did they were on side caps in the toy dept. Thought that might help someone else find them.
I used my coupons today at a regular target.. I was walking by the toy dept. and on a end cap there were the Oreo, teddy grahams etc travel (to go) cups.. They were a 1.00. Since my animal crackers were .99 I got a mix of the 2! Thanks for the deal! Its was like BOGOF.. Perfect for traveling this sping and summer season!
Can you print that coupon for the salads or do you have to have that catalog? We don’t have a meijer store here. Thanks for all the great money saving tips! I’ve already stocked full with string cheese
and now salads would be great too!
