I’ve used the service as an Ebay seller, and while not as efficient as Paypal, they are still paying us to set up an account (some may remember Paypal gave out a $5 referal fee)

I read somewhere that the SS number is required to prevent money laundering which sounds logical to me.

I noticed that that Buy.com is promoting the Revolution credit card for a $50.00 credit if you apply. I think that is part of the same organization, if that makes us feel any better about giving out our SSN.

well i went ahead and did it. i’ll lt you know how it works out. they already deposited the 25.00 to my account. However, I will not be able to withdraw or transfer til my checking account has been verified, through the same way that paypay does. I did some checking the bank that funds it is ligit, so I’ll let you know the outcome.
