Thanks to Julie for sharing the new discount/money-maker!  If you were hesitant to order the Entertainment Book last month (for $1.25)…perhaps, earning $2.50 will be more enticing!

2009 Entertainment Book

Entertainment Books vary by state to ensure the savings offers are valid in your area, and they include discounts for virtually every type of business…restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, hair and nail salons, the MALL, movie theaters, hotels, dry cleaners, and many more.  You can also purchase extras for your vacation destinations!

1.) Click HERE to register with Cashbaq.  Cashbaq (a cash back portal, very similar to Ebates) is offering a $5 bonus to all new registered members.  Be sure to edit the “My Account” page, so Cashbaq knows where to send your…cash back!

2.) Once you’ve signed up for a Cashbaq account in Step 1, select the Entertainment Book store from the “Shop by Store” drop down window.  The current offer for the book is 50% off PLUS $10 cash back from Cashbaq.

3.) Click the “Use Coupon” link to be directed to the Entertainment Book website.  Enter your zip code on the Entertainment website and order the corresponding book for your location (~$12.50).

4.) Receive the 2009 Entertainment Book plus $15 in “Cashbaq”!

You actually have to pay for shipping now and the cheapest is 2.79 so the book ends up costing .29 cents – but still cheaper than 1.25 :) And a great deal!

They do charge $2.79 for shipping but still, for $.29, it’s a great deal. Just bought one for my sister.

Thanks – this will be a huge help when we take our mini-vacation. Do you know how long it takes until the $10 credit shows up in the Cash Back accout?

  4. Jill Gardner says:

I’m a dummy and I don’t understand something. I put the book in the shopping cart and it shows the 50% off price is $12.50. Can somebody explain what I am doing wrong?

  5. Holli says:

I am with Jill…can someone explain this please?

    Thanks.

  6. worked just fine…only waiting on the credit to show up in my cashbaq account…..thanks

  7. Jill/Holli: You’ll actually pay $12.50 (plus shipping) for the book, but $15 will be credited to your Cashbaq account…$10 for the Book cash back + $5 for being a new member.

  8. Holli says:

Great, makes sense now. Thanks Jennifer. :)

    Hi everyone!

To answer the questions above, you shop at the store just the same as always and the price looks just the same as always. The difference is, if you start at Cashbaq and click through to the Entertainment Book, you will get a $10 credit in your Cashbaq account. It takes a few days for it to show up as we have to wait for Entertainment Book (or any other store or service) to tell us about it.

We recommend waiting at least a week before you contact us to inquire about an order.

This really is a great deal. Plus, the $10 cash back expires tonight at midnight Pacific Time. It’ll be $6 tomorrow.

We have over 2,000 stores on Cashbaq and are working to add a lot of new features in the next few months.

    Happy shopping!

UPDATE: As of today, Cashbaq is reduced from $10 to $6 (as I sadly learned this morning when my computer quit its shenanigans from yesterday. I contacted them to see if they’ll credit me $10 since I was mid-transaction when my computer freaked out.) The 50% off is still in effect! Yes…

  11. Sherry says:

I guess I’m a little confused, too. This is what the Entertainment Book Coupons says now:

Entertainment Book Cash Back:You save $6 at Entertainment Book whether or not there is a Entertainment Book coupon you want to use. Just sign up and start saving. We’ll start your Cashbaq account with $5

I don’t see where it says $10 cash back. Did they change their website since yesterday? If so, I guess I missed the deal!

  12. Madie says:

I ordered the entertainment book and its been like two weeks and my check hasn’t arrived but on cashbaq it says I have a 15 dollar credit. I have my profile set as pay me by check. How long does it normally take to receive the check?
