Barnes & Noble has a fairly large selection of board games on clearance this week, and TODAY ONLY, they’re the featured daily double on Ebates (an online shopping portal that rewards members with cash back on every purchase made through their site).

As an example: Spiderman Monopoly is regularly priced at $34.95 from Barnes & Noble, but is now on clearance for $8.73 ($7.85 for B&N Members). When you start at Ebates, you’ll be redirected to the Barnes & Noble site through Ebates, and earn 8% cash back from your B&N purchase. That cash back amount is placed in your Ebates account until you reach $5.01 – once you reach that amount, Ebates will send you a “big fat check” for the balance in your cash back account.

To make the savings even better, there are several Barnes & Noble coupons available, including free shipping (on one item, if you spend $25 or more), and 25% off the highest-priced item in your shopping cart. If you’ve not yet signed up with Ebates, you’ll also receive a $10 bonus just for registering.

To simplify things a tad, I’ll slip into list-maker mode for a second…

1.) Click HERE to sign up with Ebates. Ebates is offering another $10 bonus to all new members who sign up and make a qualifying purchase before June 30, 2008.

2.) Once you’ve signed up for an Ebates account in Step 1, search Ebates for Barnes & Noble, and then click the Barnes & Noble link to be redirected to the B&N website. The current offer for B&N purchases made through Ebates is 8% cash back.

3.) From the main Barnes & Noble website, scroll halfway down the page, and click the SHOP NOW link within the Clearance box.

4.) From the B&N Clearance page, click the Toys & Games link on the left sidebar (directly underneath the BROWSE header).

5.) Click a subcategory underneath the Games by Category list to view the list of clearance-priced games within that subcategory.

6.) Continue shopping, adding desired item(s) to your shopping cart. (The 8% cash back applies to all Barnes & Noble purchases – no need to stay within the Toys & Games category.)

7.) When finished shopping, click Proceed to Checkout.

8.) If you’re a new B&N online customer, click Create New Account (only new B&N online account-holders will be allowed to apply coupon codes to transactions) and enter your personal information.

9.) At checkout, enter A8P8N9P to apply a 25% discount to the highest-priced item in your shopping cart.

10.) If you have multiple items in your cart, and your total is over $25, free shipping will automatically be applied to ONE item.

11.) Complete your transaction and receive your items within a few days.

12.) Receive an email from Ebates indicating your account has been credited with 8% cash back (plus a $10 bonus for new members). When your cash back account reaches $5.01 (excluding the $10 bonus), you’ll receive a check from Ebates for the amount in your cash back and bonus accounts.
