Mystery Shopping: Amusement Advantage
Mystery shopping at area attractions = more fun for less money! Amusement Advantage was started in 1997 specifically for the amusement industry. In exchange for providing professional-quality feedback on amusement/theme parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, arcades, attractions/museums, children’s play centers/parks, zoos/wildlife parks/aquariums, and carnivals/fairs, Amusement Advantage shoppers receive free admission tickets, reimbursement, and/or payment.

Most assignments are released on the Friday closest to the 20th of each month and the following week. Amusement Advantage pays within two to three weeks of successful assignment completion, and Early Return $5 bonuses are offered to shoppers who submit all paperwork by 10am of the morning following the attraction visit.

My family went ice skating through Amusement Advantage. They are great! They reimburse you generously and in a timely manner.
I have received several opportunities from them for Miami Metro Zoo, but never took advantage of it-kids are too big now. I do believe the reimbursement was generous for a family outing!
I’ve been involved with this company for a couple of years. They are a great company, but hard to find local attractions on it. The few they have offered I have not taken because of the travel and price they are paying.
But I recommend joining because you could get a great deal on some fun dates!
In a year or so I’ve had many opportunities for a racetrack amusment park, and Los Angeles museum, with several required activities. The requirements for a second person, plus cost of parking and specific activities that are paid for, make the price about a breakeven. With trips of 20 miles adding fuel costs, they are great to reduce cost of family events and activities, but not profit makers for shoppers.
There are also required reports that take an hour or more for an experienced shopper. It’s wise to expect more time to make the report for an inexperienced shopper.
My question: If they want you to purchase food, parking, entrance ticket, stroller rental, gift shop, and two activities at the zoo and it pays a total of $50 AFTER you complete and submit your evaluation, it sounds like there will be more out of pocket money for us than we are getting back…Can anyone help me understand this better? Is this the way it is suppose to work?
I have completed a few assignments for Amusement Advantage. The shops require reports are extensive and require detailed narratives regarding the shoppers experience at the assigned entertainment venue. Most or the time, the compensation is greater then the out of pocket cost. It boils down to this – you get to spend time having fun with your kids or friends in exchange for completing reports that can take up to 5 hours. There is often additional compensation after you successful complete the report. However, if you do not successfully complete the reports, you may be charged for any tickets or vouchers that were provided to you. I like the company and enjoy working for them.
