Job Post 04/05/09: Just For Teens!

This “employment position” is just for teenage readers!

  TeenFreeway

You may be familiar with the TeenFreeway website, which features a huge variety of “freebies” for the teenage crowd (they’re not all completely free, so be careful), but they’ve recently added an affiliate program targeted specifically to teenagers: The TeenFreeway Street Team.

The TeenFreeway Street Team is comprised of teens, just like yourself, who are interested in earning a little extra money for posting their advertisements.  Simply apply with the Street Team, and once approved, you’ll receive your own affiliate link that can be sent to your friends and/or posted on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, blogs – anywhere you hang out online!  You can create your own banners or simply add text hyperlinks – completely up to you.  When a visitor signs up for a freebie via your link, you’ll earn money (the exact amount will vary depending on the advertisement).

To get started, click HERE to apply.  You should receive an email within 48 hours that will contain your unique Street Team login information.  Sign in to your Street Team account to access your unique link – that link is directly connected to your account and is required in order for you to earn money.  Once you have the link, you can forward it to your friends via email or post it on your own website(s).  If you’d like to create a banner, just hyperlink a relevant image with your unique link.

You can log into the Street Team website at any time to check your balance, but there is a three-day reporting delay for all earnings.  Once your Street Team account reaches a minimum of $15, TeenFreeway will mail you a check!

The #1 important rule?  Do NOT spend your entire paycheck!  Plan ahead, before you ever earn a penny, and decide how you’d like to save/spend your earnings…car savings, college savings, tithing, gift-giving, immediate spending, etc.  Your financial plan can be as unique as your link, but have a well-thought out plan ahead of time.

Has anyone tried this? I signed my 14 year old up, but worry because they ask age, address school name, things I tell her NOT to give out online.
There was no mention of how she would get paid.
Just looking for someone with experience with the teen websites. Thanks
