Gift Cards From The Wal-Mart Online Consultants’ Panel

34

Wal-Mart has joined the ranks of CVS, Disney, Pentel, and others…they’re starting an online community of shoppers who are willing to spend 5-15 minutes per week providing feedback on everything-Wal-Mart! In exchange for the insight and opinions provided, “consultant” shoppers like YOU will be rewarded with Wal-Mart gift cards!

Click HERE to apply for a spot in the Wal-Mart Online Panel of Consultants.
If accepted, you should receive notification within the next week.

On another note, did you know that Wal-Mart also has a BLOG?! The name is a perfect fit…”Check Out: Where the Lanes are All Open“! YES!

Interesting, I took the survey, and I’m a Vocal Point member, pretty web savy too.
But that’s not what they are looking for :(

  2. Charlene says:

I took it too. I think they want people who just go to WalMart for everything, expecting to get the best price!! Don’t want someone who compares prices, etc. Probably also don’t want anyone who would recognize good service, since they won’t fnd THAT at WalMart!!!

  3. Kim Rackley says:

I took the survey, and here’s the message I got – we’ll see what happens – it kinda looks like it could be fun! :)

“Thank you for participating in this survey! If you qualify and are selected, you will receive an email from Cindy Nguy within the next week, with instructions for how to access the online community. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email us at cnguy@communispace.com.”

  4. Meghan says:

    Awesome!
    I signed up!!!

  5. L.F. says:

I’m a Communispace member, so I don’t qualify. Thanks for the opportunity, as always.

  6. Kathleen McMahan says:

I think this should be a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing the info.!

  7. Pgh gal says:

I put that I’m a Bzz agent & VocalPoint member, and I got the message saying I’ll be contacted within a week.. I think they are targeting moms and also those to answered that they are looking for the best prices. Obviously , I fibbed a bit about how much I shop at Walmart, because I personally hate the store, but if I’m getting gift cards to buy things, I’ll spend THEIR money at their store, even if I won’t spend my own!

  8. hmsclmom says:

I didnt qualify either…apparently I am too educated as a consumer.

  9. Sonya says:

I can’t wait to find out if I’ve been accepted!

  10. Tanya says:

YAY! I signed up too! :)

  11. I filled everything out and afterwards it took me to Wal-Mart’s main site? I didn’t see any message? Anyone else get that?

  12. I took the survey and will be waiting to hear in the next week. Thanks for posting this!

  13. Gourdjo says:

I don’t qualify at this time so they will not invite me to join. Pooh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. tanyetta says:

  15. meg says:

Hmmmm I don’t think they want someone who likes clean specialty stores! I apparently don’t fit their desire…….This is the message I got

“Thank you very much for taking the time to answer the previous questions. Wal-Mart conducts many different projects with specific research objectives in mind. While we greatly appreciate your time and interest, unfortunately at this time we are unable to extend you an invitation to participate in this particular study.”

    Hmph

  16. Pam says:

I filled out the survey (honestly) and it stated something to the affect of how they thought I would be interested, asked to agree to some terms and the the message about the e-mail that others have posted.

PGH Gal – It’s unfortunate that you are willing to potentially take an opportunity away from people who actually shop at Wal-Mart so that you can shop at a store that you admittedly hate.

Good job at taking advantage of the system, way to go!

  17. Eve says:

I’m a marketing rep, after several questions, I was told in no uncertain words thanks but no thanks! V B G

  18. Kathy says:

I put in that I belonged to more than one survey consumer group, and I do, and I got the message that I would be hearing from the same person as well, the key phrase is “if you qualify”. I will have to wait and see and if I do not qualify, no biggie, there always is another survey to apply for. A friend of mine and I both belong to a survey group we both have the same demographics: age, marital status, education, we both have small children, she lives across the state from me and we seldom both get picked for the same study or survey.

  19. Christy says:

i was not accepted at this time..I did answer questions for about 10 min before it told me though.

  20. geraldine says:

I guess I belong to too many other survey groups…I do most of the ones they listed. After a few questions, they basically told me “thanks but no thanks.” Oh, well, I don’t go to WalMart very often any way!

  21. barb says:

Thanks for this one. We have to go to Wal-Mart Super center…our only other option is KMart and their prices (since they bought out Sears) have doubled/tripled in our area. I’m still pouting cause they closed our local Wal-Mart to open the super center, I liked reg. Wal-mart so much better…and I gripe constantly about the new one! (prices are higher and they have stopped carrying things that we have bought for years at Wallyworld!) But, I would be very glad to give them my opinion – although they might not want to hear it after the fact. lol But, yes, they get a lot of our money there, so I might as well try to sign up. I also got the ty meassage saying that if I am selected I’d hear something within the next week. :D

  22. Carla says:

I did 3 questions and then it put me to the main Walmart site.

  23. Julie says:

I spent 15 minutes taking their stinking survey AND THEY REJECTED ME AT THE END!! They were sorry but they could not extend an invitation to partake in the survey group at this time. Whatever…I shop there ALL THE TIME as it is like the only store around me…yes, I said I shopped there all the time too on their little survey. Then it had the nerve to send me to their online store..as if I would buy anything from them “at this time”.

Whatever..maybe they were scared of what I honestly have to say about them LOL

  24. Kim says:

If I had realized that the questionnaire was 20 pages long and they were only (apparently) looking for people who shop solely at Wal-Mart and don’t comparison shop, I wouldn’t have wasted my time.

  25. cheapsk8mom says:

I told the truth, I shop around, I am a member of a few panels, and I like low prices but will spend more if I ‘think’ i ‘need’ something… It all went so fast, but I think I was accepted. Or maybe I’m waiting for that email to confirm I was… I didn’t pay too much attention :(

    I’m thankful for the heads-up though… :) thanks

  26. mel says:

Thanks! We’ll see if I qualify!

  27. Right Brain Thinker says:

Thank you!! Hope I get selected! Waiting to hear from Cindy LOL.

  28. Debbie Genoway says:

Thanks, I got the thing that asked me to accept and all that. We will see.

    Debbie

  29. Penny says:

I canceled my old email right after this offer, so I do not know how I can let them know my new email address? Do you know of anything I can do? (I lost everything, all of my contacts and saved websites.)
    Thanks!

  32. Cynthia says:

Well, their done with it now. Here’s the message I got:

“The survey you requested has reached its cutoff date.

It has been closed by the owner of the survey. This is not an error.

If you have questions regarding this survey please contact the owner of the survey directly.”
