Earn Money For Losing Weight (Really!)

Earlier this month, I posted an article about a website for the sole purpose of obtaining a CVS coupon.  (Thanks for the coupon, Mr. Website, and we hope you don’t feel too used and abused by us CVS shoppers.)  The site actually seemed interesting, I made a note to return later, and fast forward to almost four weeks later…the website is a better find than the CVS coupon!  (As my husband would say, “Never step over a twenty to pick up a penny” :) .)

wellness360

For those of you who shop CVS, you probably remember the name of Wellness360 as the generous CVS coupon portal.  There’s a reason, however, that this site is titled Wellness360 and not CVS360…the focus is on physical health with financial benefits, and no purchases are required.  You won’t earn a $1 ECB for purchasing a candy bar, but you will earn money for tracking the CVS candy bar you ate while no one was watching!  You’ll also earn money for tracking every aspect of your physical health, from dieting and weight loss to medications…you’ll earn money for each visit to Wellness360.  Additionally, Wellness360 will reward you with a percentage of the cash that your friends and family earn after you refer them to their site.

To be clear, you won’t make a million dollars by tracking the candy bars you ate last week…you won’t even earn a thousand dollars for doing that.  The idea is to get fit, stay fit, and focus on your health…and when you incorporate Wellness360 into that health and wellness routine, you’ll earn points redeemable for cash.

What’s the bottom line?  The amount of money you can earn is directly dependent on the amount of time and effort you put into tracking your physical health…some may earn $10 per month, while others will earn $100 or more.

Are you concerned about putting such personal information “out there” on the website? There’s so much out there about how to protect your financial information online, using better passwords, encryption, etc. but I never through about disclosing health issues before.

I don’t think anyone should disregard a potential security violation with any company, but 100% confidentiality is maintained on just about all legitimate sites that require personal information, through the use of secure authentication (the liability for not maintaining 100% confidentiality is simply too great).

There’s been talk on some other forums about the CVS coupon in particular being faked by Wellness360. Personally I’m waiting to see how it all pans out before giving them any information.

Another thing that bugs me is that they say over and over that you will get paid, but there are no rates to tell you how much and there is no information about how they will pay you. I wanted details to know how it works.

Maybe when some success stories come out it’ll look better. I suppose Paypal looked like a scam when it was rolled out, and now it’s totally commonplace and feels as safe as the bank downtown.

I’ve been a Wellness360 member for 2 months, used my CVS coupon at CVS, and have received my 2nd Wellness360 check ~$5.00. Last month was $3.54, and that was visiting the site twice.

I joined wellness360 but can’t figure out how to find things on the site. I want to keep track of exercise but can’t find the page. Anyone have suggestions?
