ok, scarey! But I did follow all of the directions and now I also have a new WaMu account.
Too bad I just lost all of my contacts a week ago. Now I have to start all over;)
Thanks for the strange offer. Hope it pays off in the end.
Atleast I helped make you a dollar, right?

Hi there,

Thanks for this tip! I signed up for this yesterday and sent out a few messages to my friends and family (although the bulk will go out once my husband gets his account set up as my referral...maximize those earnings, right? ;-) . Couldn't hurt to get a little extra cash every now and again for doing what I already do online.

Just wanted to give a heads up...you say towards the end of the post, "If you don’t already have an existing account OR if you’re leary of linking an existing account, simply sign up for a new WaMu checking account THROUGH 6dgr, transfer $1 to that new account..."

You don't actually have to transfer the $1 in from anywhere, right? I'm pretty sure everything I read stated that 6dgr would deposit the necessary $1 for you.

I'm also wondering how you can link an existing account? I can't seem to find how to do that on the site. (Although I wonder if you really can? It seems the way they make their money is probably through WaMu paying them for each new account created, so they wouldn't get any benefit from us linking in previously held accounts). I wanted to sign up with WaMu separately from 6dgr. If you sign up WaMu through 6dgr, 6dgr specifically says to make sure the box next to the savings account option is unchecked (in their .pdf instructions). But if you do sign up with WaMu for both a checking and savings account at the same time, both are free, and you get the benefit of being able to earn (currently) 3.75 APY on the savings balance. Why not maximize the 6dgr earnings as much as possible, right? :-) And I don't mind paying the $2 ($1 minimum opening balance for each acct--checking and savings) in order to get that benefit!

Hope this works well for all of us!

OK..I am going to try it and see. I am always up for testing sites that I can make money on. :-) People have been writing me asking about this, and I haven't had a specific answer yet, so I guess it is time for me to jump in.

Have you actually gotten your first deposit from them into your WAMU account?

Thanks for the insight,
Carrie

Hi, Amoreena - it does work, it's not a scam, and specifically, it has worked for me. The WaMu checking account is free and you'll receive your debit card within a week or so of opening your account.

Networking sites are moving into a trend that rewards members, but 6dgr is one with no requirements for the number of times you have to log in per month, etc.
