if you go to the link, it says that you do have to make a qualifying purchase before Feb. 14 to receive the bonus. i already use ebates and love it though!

I don’t think you’ll get the $10 no matter what. I think you have to make a purchase as well. At least, that’s how I interpreted the fine print.
You’re correct - a qualifying purchase by February 14th is required to earn the $10 bonus.
FYI - refer your spouse or friends or family and get extra bonuses too!

I would like to find something that was actually free. There is always a gimmick. And I have found, so far, that these sites which lure people in with this kind of add, take hours to go through all the possible deals, of which one must be purchased to receive the “free” item. I have yet to get to the end of “deals”. After pages that lead to more pages-it is a never ending mess, I get tired and just give up. So for my two cents I do not like these kinds of sites and I think they are a rip off. If this one is different, just how many deals do I have to wade through before actually getting my reward????
Sharon, the idea is to sign up now so that the $10 bonus is applied to your account. Throughout the year, as you shop online, go through Ebates to earn additional cash back on the items you’d be purchasing anyway.
Once you’ve made your qualifying purchase, the Ebates $10 bonus will be mailed to you, along with the earned cash back from your purchase.
There is something tricky about this… in order to receive your check you must earn at least $5.01 in cash back, this is for making purchases ONLY and the promotional $10 bonus doesn’t count toward this. So, if you buy at any store that gives you, let say, 5% cash back, you need to spend more than $100 (shipping is not included in the cash back offers and you can’t do in-store pick up) and only then you will get your check for your cash back plus $10 bonus.
Also, the checks are mailed every three months, so you will have to wait a little bit…
