The remote nurses of Alere Medical are responsible for the day to day monitoring of at-home patients with chronic diseases.   Patients receive specialized coaching and education via phone with professional advice from the nursing staff on how to better manage their conditions.  Alere provides their remote nurses with training, all necessary computer and phone equipment, and reimburses for installation and monthly costs of internet service.
