The weekend is almost here, and there are several free events scheduled at various locations – all designed just for kids!  If you’re looking for a little less out-and-about, I threw in a few extra freebies, too.

Event: The Great Nickelodeon Easter Adventure
Date/Time: Saturday, April 4, 2009 2pm-4pm

Details: Children receive a free gift and activity materials.  Click HERE for official details.

Event: ‘The Knack’  Free Family Event Powered by Crayola® and HP
Date/Time: Saturday, April 4, 2009 10am-2pm
Location: Michael’s Arts & Crafts Stores (Click HERE for locations)
Details: Children, ages 5-12,  receive 3D glasses and Monsters vs. Aliens coloring pages, participate in a treasure hunt, and create their own posters and finger puppets.  Click HERE for official details, and check the site monthly for new current kids’ events.

Event: Home Depot Kids Workshop: Build a Window Birdhouse
Date/Time: Saturday, April 4, 2009 9am-12pm
Location: Home Depot Stores (Click HERE for locations)
Details: Children, ages 5-12,  receive their own constructed window birdhouse kit, an orange Home Depot apron, and an achievement pin.  Click HERE for official details, and check the site monthly for new current kids’ events.

Event: Kids Bowl Free (Two Games Per Day) 
Date/Time: All Summer!  (Exact dates vary by location and some locations start in April.)
Location: Local participating bowling centers (Click HERE for locations – Bowling centers are still joining the program, so check back often for more locations)
Details: Children receive a free bowling pass that entitles them to two free bowl games per day.  Discounted family passes are also available for $23.95, which allow up to four adults per pass to bowl two games per day all summer long.  Most locations charge a shoe rental fee, which varies from $1 to $5.  Click HERE for official details.
