iMommies Spring Break ‘09: Stay-Cation Giveaway!
Vacationing at home for Spring Break ‘09? KidZui is a “must-have” for kids between the ages of 3 and 12! While not designed to be the sole source of Spring Break family entertainment, KidZui is an excellent resource for your child’s alloted computer time. KidZui is not just another website…it’s THE world wide web for kids, containing over a million kid-friendly websites, games, and YouTube videos, that have all been reviewed and approved by a team of safety-conscious parents, teachers, and experts. A million isn’t enough? Add your own approved websites to your child’s KidZui browser!

KidZui is available in two levels: free account and paid membership. The paid membership provides some really cool additional features, including a homework helper, advanced reporting, and personalization/preference settings, but the full range of sites is available with both levels. Unlike most entertainment zones, the free account is very well done (no limited trial periods, blocked sites, etc.). Bottom line: the free account is awesome, but the paid membership is even more awesome!
Here are just a few features that make KidZui a fantastic portal for kid-friendly entertainment:
- Every site in KidZui has been reviewed and approved. Once registered and downloaded, your child simply opens the KidZui browser and has complete freedom to search, play games, watch videos, view photos, and connect with friends…without those little inquisitive minds stumbling across anything inappropriate. (The paid membership does allow parents to block specific sites within the browser, if desired.)
- The KidZui browser takes up the entire screen. Though originally downloaded for our eight-year old, even our four-year old can play on KidZui without us coming back to a rearranged desktop and updated settings! Kids can literally click on anything once the browser is open.
- With over a million activities and websites from which to choose, there’s obviously plenty of variety! I am generally not a fan of computer game downloads, mainly because the appeal of the game is lost within a short period of time, and appeal for a new game replaces the first…it’s an endless cycle of downloads that never seem to be completely uninstalled, and this is simply a non-issue with KidZui.
- If you’re not initially convinced that the paid membership is worth the $49.95 annual fee (which is currently discounted at $39.95/year), you can register for the free account…and it’s not just a free trial period – it’s free for life!
- KidZui sends a weekly report outlining your child’s recent searches and websites visited.

Interested in winning a free one-year paid membership? Leave a comment below by midnight on Monday, March 16th! On Tuesday, March 17th, one name will be selected from the list of comments to receive a paid membership, free of charge…it’s just another fun world (wide web) of activities for your Spring Break Stay-Cation that can be enjoyed throughout the year!

Wow! This is every parents dream. Internet made easy and safe. My children 3, 5, and 8 would really benefit from this. Please pick us for the free one year membership.
My three year old already can navigate. While I am cleaning up the house, this would be awesome for she and her 6 year old sister to enjoy, after their own chores of course! I appreciate all the great information you provide, especially things like this, since I also homeschool!
My kids would really enjoy this! We are staying home, so would be perfect for our easter break!
This sounds like fun!

This looks great! I have a four 1/2 year old and so much of the software requires me to be there every few minutes. Thanks for the information.
I would so love to have this! Even if I dont win a membership I am gonna download the free version. Sounds great!
Sounds like a neat idea!
I have four kids 12 and under. They all love using the computer. We monitor everything they do on the computer so KidZui sounds like a great idea. I know they would love the freedom this would give them and they would be safe to play and roam on there without having to check with me or Dad all the time. So, with that said, a year FREE would be AWESOME in our house!
Just in time for our Stay-at-home-Spring-Break!! Thank you! Rain is on its way so this will be helpful when our other projects are completed!
Thank you.
Cindy
Sounds awesome! As a mom of a five year old and one year old triplets, I would love to let my five year old have more opportunities with our computer, but I always have to make sure I can monitor it and this would make things a lot easier!
I just ran across your site recently – and love the many tips I have found here. This would be SO great for my nephew’s twins!
Anything to keep the kiddos safe and protected while online is great with me. Please count me in on this one
