iMommies Introduces: Naomi Hattaway & Liz Weirshousky
Meet Naomi Hattaway and Liz Weirshousky, founders of Rock-n-Tot!

Win tickets to the premiere opening events in Cleveland, Ohio and Washington, DC!

I am the mother of three kiddos, two boys who are 13 and 4, and a little girl who is 19 months. My family has lived in the Cleveland area for going on 3 years. I was a paralegal before I became a SAHM. I love throwing parties, organizing events and my morning coffee. Laundry is my least favorite chore! My hope is to stay home with the kids until the youngest is in kindergarten and I’m excited to see what life brings me in the next 3-5 years.

I am the mother of a 20-month old girl. We have been living in the DC area for 6 years now. We are always working on our 60-year old house and feel the “project” may never be finished, but that is half the fun of a vintage home. I love Mocha Frappucinos from Starbucks and I’m an insane craft nerd. Laundry is my least favorite chore! I work outside of the home, in addition to this new venture and can’t wait until our debut Rock-n-Tot events!

We love family events with our children and wanted to fill the gap that we see so often in events currently offered to families. Our intent in creating Rock-n-Tot was tri-fold.

First, to create an event for the entire family. We both feel strongly that quality time is important to our children. We needed to create something where you are encouraged - as parents - to spend QUALITY time with your children.

Second, to embrace an environment where new friends can be made and old friendships rekindled. Fostering relationships is important to us in our everyday lives and we needed to pass that along.

Finally, to introduce new products to those around us. We come across unique products and safety-related items that we NEED to spread the word about. We want to support parent-created businesses and get products in the hands of other parents that will help keep all of our children safe!

Rock-n-Tot is here!
Announcing the newest family event to hit Cleveland and Washington DC, Rock-n-Tot is an afternoon dance party for kids (birth through 12) and their parents (or anyone who has a part in their lives).
Rock-n-Tot was co-created by two moms living in Ohio and Maryland, in an effort to provide a wholesome event for the whole family, adults and kids alike. The simple premise of this event is to encourage families to spend quality time together, create new relationships and educate themselves with new products (most parent-created!).
Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, beginning February 9, 2008, Velvet Dog Nightclub and UltraBar will be transformed into a kid-friendly zone. The dj plays great music (clean lyrics!) and you’ll find bubbles, egg shakers and scarves are a-plenty.
Discover face painting, airbrush tattoo artists, ‘Rockstars’ - an area for those kids 9-12, complimentary massages and other services for the adults, not to mention free juiceboxes and kid-appropriate snacks!
The founders of Rock-n-Tot have thought of everything - giveaways (every ticket wins a chance to take home a great prize), nursing zones, changing stations, even an area to just get away from it all and rejuvenate with toys, books, puzzles and more. Did we mention there are fantastic goody bags and giveaways?
Pre-walkers are admitted free, everyone else must have a ticket. $12/ticket, Cleveland . . . $15/ticket, Washington DC.
