Freebie List 05/02/08: May CVS Freebies With ECBs (& Coupon)

There are more CVS freebies than in April, though most of the purchase limits are set to three, instead of the usual five. With a new coupon valid for $3 off any $15 purchase (through 06/06/2008), May is a great month for CVS shopping.

To answer a few common questions:

  • It is NOT necessary to purchase the full limit in one transaction. Purchase any quantity, including one, of any item below, and receive an ExtraCare Buck equivalent to the purchase price.
  • The ExtraCare Buck(s) will print at the end of your receipt and can be used like cash to pay for future purchases.
  • You can check out in multiple transactions, and use the ECBs from one transaction to pay for another transaction.
  • Use manufacturer coupons if you have them, to make the items below even better than free!

2008 Free Lemonade Stand From Sunkist

Sunkist is offering free lemonade stands again this year! For those of you who didn’t order last year, this is truly a great way for children to “take a stand” in helping others. Sunkist will send your child a lemonade stand (free shipping included) if they pledge to donate all earnings to a charity…AND your child gets to select the charity (our son raised money for the National MS Society last year)! Let them give to the organization that means the most to them, and Sunkist will reward them for their giving spirit!

Included with the stand is a lemon peeler, plastic juicer, and recipes for different varieties of lemonade. The Sunkist Take a Stand site also has printable signs and sales worksheets. Great summertime activity for kids!

Free Prom Dresses For 2008 Junior/Senior Proms

I love it when readers send me great information like this!  Kathy emailed details for a local-area prom dress giveaway, that awards free prom dresses to students who otherwise couldn’t afford to go.  Wondering if there might be similar programs in other areas, I ran a few Google searches, and was delighted to see that there are, in fact, programs like this across the country.  (I saw very few programs for men’s formal attire, but there are a few.)

2008 Prom Dress Giveaways

Each program works a bit differently, but I’ll highlight the Dallas-area program, and then post a sampling of similar programs taking place now throughout different cities and states.
