I was visiting another site today (which will remain nameless) and found a new link to this past weekend’s Stock the Pantry item. Originally, this was a four-page PDF containing a single coupon good for $3 off any Juicy Juice product - which equates to free juice through the end of the year. By the time Monday rolled around, the PDF and the coupon had been taken offline by the company responsible for the initial generation and hosting: Juicy Juice, which is manufactured by NESTLE USA. Most really sizable savings offers are like that - here for a short time, and then gone…because, otherwise, the companies behind the coupons would go bankrupt OR they would cease all online coupon promotions permanently.

I am Amy. I am a stay-at-home mom with a fast-growing label company, called Colour Me Family. We even offer a version for the holidays, with your family faces wearing Santa hats. A trendy little touch to stand out above the rest of the Christmas cards!

Just a reminder…the first iMommies Sweepstakes ends at midnight on October 31st, which is only a few days away! If you’re receiving the iMommies email in your inbox on a regular basis, then you are completely subscribed (and have received one entry into the iPod drawing for each calendar month of subscription).

If you are NOT receiving the iMommies newsletter in your inbox, but have entered your email address in the subscription window, then look for an emailed confirmation request in your inbox, and click the confirmation link. As soon as that confirmation link has been visited, your email address will be included in the drawing!

The Pink for October initiative began a little over a year ago in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness. As part of the initiative, companies and blogs, across all industries and topics, change their website templates, for the entire month of October, to include the color pink. In celebration of Pink for October (since our site is already pink), and to thank YOU for your loyalty and continued readership, iMommies is giving away a FREE iPod! YEA! Hope I win! (Just kidding!) So here are the rules:

NOTE: For those of you who subscribe via RSS only, this is not intended to exclude you from winning - we simply have no way of identifying you! Feel free to subscribe via email, in addition to your RSS feed to make sure you receive an entry into the drawing.
Regardless of political affiliation, education for our children is at the top of most of our lists. When you join the ED in ‘08 campaign, you’ll be kept informed of all the latest developments in education policy and be given an avenue, and a voice, to participate.

When you register, you’ll be sent an instruction booklet with more information on how you can make a difference (along with a free T-shirt to show your support of the Strong American Schools campaign).
First of all, thank you so much for all of the kind words that many of you have emailed over the past 24 hours in response to the last post (“What Would YOU Like to Read?”). I had a couple of hours of really enjoyable reading today!

Though that post remains open and available for commenting (as does my inbox), I’ll summarize here the feedback received so far:
1.) Everyone voted to continue receiving posts on saving and making money, including those applicable to specific locations, as well as those open to anyone/anywhere.
2.) Everyone voted to continue receiving notifications of free “whatevers” (though some preferred not to be hassled with a sample ketchup packet…I’m with you on that one!).
3.) Of those who mentioned sales and discounts, everyone voted to continue receiving them, though there were mixed reviews on whether to include ALL sales, or just those deemed to be REALLY good discounts.
4.) Of those who mentioned an online chat forum, most were in favor, though a few said they probably wouldn’t use it, and a couple of others suggested multiple forums to accommodate multiple topics.
Again, this is just a summary of responses so far – feel free to agree or disagree, and to voice your thoughts via online comments or a separate email – anytime.
We’ve had between 150 and 200 posts in our relatively short history, covering a fairly wide range of topics. While not everything can be useful to everyone, my hope is that EVERY post has been helpful for SOMEONE, and likewise that EVERYONE has found SOMETHING relevant.
The question is…What is relevant to YOU? What do you find most helpful? What do you least like to see? Is there any topic receiving too little coverage on this site? Any topic for which you see too much coverage?
Here are a few more questions I’ve had tumbling around in my head lately:
1.) Are you interested in posts that are only locally relevant (for example, focus groups and telecommuting positions for specific cities)? If it’s local to you, that’s great, but obviously not all will be relevant to your state. Would you rather see nothing that is locale-specific?
2.) Are you interested in discounts and sales? So far, I’ve only listed a couple of sales (because I felt they were extremely discounted), but could include more or less. There are thousands of online shopping codes and discounts, but not all are truly fabulous finds!
3.) What are your thoughts on “free stuff”? What types of freebie offers, if any, interest you? I’ve been fairly selective up to this point, but are you interested in a regular post that lists several freebies of lesser value?
4.) Would you be interested in an online forum, through which you could exchange ideas, and chat with other readers?
I’d love to hear your feedback, (positive, negative, or neutral), to aid in the direction of material for future posts. From the home page, the top of each post contains a pink comment link that allows you to post comments, either to me, or to other iMommies readers. When you view a post from a search, category, or archive, the comment box appears at the bottom of the post. As you have a moment, please leave a comment on THIS post, via either the pink-link or the bottom-box, with feedback regarding anything!
