Welcome to the 2008 Ultimate Blog Party, hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom!

5 Minutes for Mom is throwing the BIGGEST party on the web this week. It’s the 2008 Ultimate Blog Party, and everyone’s invited! To top it off, iMommies was recently given this Great Site award from the Ultimate Blog Party hostesses!

Ahem, well this is such an honor and a surprise. First of all, I’d like to thank the Academy … oops, wrong award. Please bear with me, as I don’t have the appropriate speech notes … I know I can find the words somewhere in this keyboard … just a minute … ahhh yes! Here they are:
To Susan and Janice: Thank you for allowing iMommies to join the list of amazing blogs attending this awesome party! And a special thank you for inviting readers! The door prizes are FABULOUS! (Er - this is an online party, so I guess these would be window prizes…nevertheless, the prizes are fantastic!) Thanks again for having such a wonderful website that allows moms the opportunity to showcase their websites, businesses, and talents!
To All Party Guests: If you’ve stopped here as part of the Ultimate Blog Party festivities, thank you for coming! Make yourself comfortable, and feel free to peruse some of our articles or chat with other readers. As a thank you for stopping by, please leave a comment below. At the end of the party, we’ll randomly draw a winning name for a $25 gift certificate to PlumParty.com!

(If you’ve not yet received your invitation to join the ‘08 Ultimate Blog Party, click HERE…of course, you’re invited!)
Whether you’re a reader or have your own blog, 5 Minutes for Mom has invited YOU to participate in all of the fun, including the door (window) prizes! There are over 150 prizes, including my personal favorites:
1.) Twelve (12) Children’s Hair Bows from Simply Sweet Bowtique
2.) $25 Gift Card to My Mommy’s Bracelets or Baby Girl Bracelets
3.) PINK Legos (I love these!)
Be sure to check out all of the amazing websites participating in the Ultimate Blog Party!
(As of tonight, there are over 1,100 attendees!)

A name was randomly selected from the list of comments, and…
Congratulations to Marsha, who won the two-disk set of WOW #1s!

Many thanks to Karen for sponsoring this giveaway! Don’t forget to visit ALL of her websites below for more of the enterprising resources and informative perspectives that she consistently provides…
…At Thrifty Mommy, A Healthy Balance, and Little Fun; Little Learning!
You’ve probably all seen reference on iMommies to Thrifty Mommy, A Healthy Balance, and Little Fun; Little Learning (three of my favorite blogs), but some of you may not be aware of a common factor shared by all three…they’re ALL authored by my friend, Karen (who also appears regularly on the Cooper Lawrence Show to discuss all things frugal)!

Another common factor? They’re ALL sponsoring the Give-a-Wow! Karen was gracious enough to let me plan the details for the giveaway, which I have since dubbed the “Give-a-Wow”…we’ll see if I’m allowed such liberties in the future!
A winner was randomly selected from over 100 entrants, and….Congratulations to Keri, who won $30 in FYE giftcards! Many thanks to Karen and Little Fun; Learning for hosting this promotion!

Don’t forget to check out all of the great children’s activities at Little Fun;Little Learning!
A winner has been randomly selected and here are the results!! Congratulations to Cecelia! Meet Naomi Hattaway and Liz Weirshousky, founders of Rock-n-Tot!

Win tickets to the premiere opening events in Cleveland, Ohio and Washington, DC!

I am the mother of three kiddos, two boys who are 13 and 4, and a little girl who is 19 months. My family has lived in the Cleveland area for going on 3 years. I was a paralegal before I became a SAHM. I love throwing parties, organizing events and my morning coffee. Laundry is my least favorite chore! My hope is to stay home with the kids until the youngest is in kindergarten and I’m excited to see what life brings me in the next 3-5 years.

I am the mother of a 20-month old girl. We have been living in the DC area for 6 years now. We are always working on our 60-year old house and feel the “project” may never be finished, but that is half the fun of a vintage home. I love Mocha Frappucinos from Starbucks and I’m an insane craft nerd. Laundry is my least favorite chore! I work outside of the home, in addition to this new venture and can’t wait until our debut Rock-n-Tot events!
My name is Chava and I’m giving away a free set of labels to one lucky iMommies reader!
I’m also including a free set of pantry labels (a $14.95 value!) with EVERY order from my site that mentions code iMommies!

So, a little about me…My husband, Steve, and I have been married for almost 4 years, but have known each other our entire lives…literally. (Steve’s mom was my mom’s lamaze teacher when my mom was pregnant with me.) We are both originally from New Jersey, but currently live in Chesapeake, Virgina with our wonderful 19-1/2 month old daughter (Lily). In addition to my roles as Steve’s Wife, Lily’s Mom, Austin’s Stepmom, Administrative Assistant/Database Analyst, Mystery Shopper, and Dog Walker/Sitter, I’ve also started my own business, called Lily’s Labels.

Lily’s Labels carries everything needed to label your child’s belongings…and no sewing is required! We carry clothing tags, bag tags, ID bracelets, container labels, shoe tags…if you need to label it, we’ve got a label for the job! AND…most importantly…the labels are washer and dryer safe, microwave safe, waterproof and chemical proof!
