Many of you enjoyed the free Christmas gifts from Buy.com and Google Checkout last year, and while unfortunately, this year will be different, Buy.com is still a budget-minded shopping portal. I definitely encourage you to check out their prices before ordering elsewhere!

Earn Free Christmas Gifts (Without Spending A Penny!)

I’ve posted these before, but given the approaching holiday seasons, each of these concepts is worth repeating, and you have plenty of time to start earning so that your orders can be placed in time for Christmas.

1.) Earn free candles, diffusers, decorative items from Candle Bay. Click HERE to register, then refer your family and friends to do the same. You’ll earn $5 for registering, and $0.50 for each of your family and friends. Once your account reaches $10 (or more), select a gift, and pay for the item AND shipping costs with the amount you’ve earned from registration and referrals.

2.) Earn free perfume and skin care products from Perfume Emporium.  Click HERE to register, then refer your family and friends to do the same. You’ll earn $10 for registering, and $0.50 for each of your family and friends. Once you’re ready to order, select a gift, and pay for the item AND shipping costs with the amount you’ve earned from registration and referrals.

3.) Need to refer more friends and family?  Earn $2-$4 (to spend on anything) by inviting people to join your list of friends on 6dgr.  Click HERE to register with 6dgr, then post a link for Candle Bay and Perfume Emporium on your own 6dgr social networking site.

All of the above are free to join, free to share, and result in free cash and gifts!

75% Discount On Photo Gifts (Through 11/03/08)

Thanks to Milk Allergy Mom for this great discount gift idea! Snapfish, owned by Hewlett Packard, was the first online photo hosting website that I ever used, and I still use them as my main hosting site. Their site is easy to navigate, they allow unlimited storage space, and print orders can be mailed to your home or picked up within 30 minutes at a local partner store (like Walgreens or Staples, for two examples).

The gift discount comes in two components:
1.) No Expiration Date (25% Off): Snapfish automatically applies a 25% discount on multiple quantities of the same gift item. For example, if you order a set of three identical 11 oz. collage mugs, the first one will cost $12.99, and the two additional mugs will cost $9.75 each. Not fantastic savings, but still a discount for multiple quantities of the same item.

2.) Expires 11/03/08 ($15 Off $30): Place any $30+ order through November 3rd and take $15 off your total. Using the same example above, a set of three identical 11 oz. collage mugs would ordinarily cost $32.49. Apply one of the discount codes below to take an additional $15 off, and pay only $17.49, plus shipping. This is just one example from their long list of products, but this is a great way to make personalized gifts for everyone on your shopping list.

Bath & Body Works: Free Scent Sets (With ANY Purchase)!

The last time I saw a “FREE with ANY purchase” online coupon from Bath & Body Works was around Easter time this year, but they’re doing it again for this fall! Purchase any product from Bath & Body Works though 11/23/08, and receive a free pluggable diffuser starter set (Wallflowers or SCENTPORT), when you bring in the printable coupon!

There are items priced as low as $1 at most store locations (if not all), and sometimes even less for clearanced items, but if specific Bath & Body Works products are staples at your house, this is a great time to stock up and receive a free item while you’re there!  (Also, while you’re there…make sure you sign up for their mailing list to receive additional great coupons via mail!)

The Worst Gift Wrapper In America Is…

Not me - I swear it’s not me! My first job was as a “Mervyn’s Gift-Wrapping Associate”, so I swear it’s NOT ME! But, alas, this time around, it doesn’t pay to be a good gift wrapper :) . Bowdabra® is running a contest through October 31st to find the WORST gift wrapper in America. Prizes will be awarded to several lucky winners, but as a consolation prize for even having the ability to enter, Bowdabra® is also giving away a free gift wrapping eBook to everyone who enters.

For those of you who boast awesome wrapping skills, you can access two free Fall Decorating eBooks (retail value: $14.99 each) without having to enter the contest. Obviously, the eBooks are offered as a marketing tool for the Bowdabra, but many of the projects can be completed without one. (I really liked the candy-filled jelly jar place setting idea, and to be honest, the Bowdabra® does look like a time-saving alternative to crafting your own bows, and to be even MORE honest…none of my bows are as elaborate as some of those shown on the Bowdabra website!)

Not to get off-topic, but thanks to Sarah, seamstress and hobbyist EXTRAORDINAIRE, for passing along this information!  The next time you’re in a creative mood…go check out the Crafts section on her website.  She has some excellent ideas (with step by step instructions) for crafts, gifts, decorations, and jewelry!  Some of her ideas are nothing short of genius (who ever would have thought of using old coffee mug handles, decorated with large beads or buttons to make…drapery tie-backs?!)

Okay, onto the fun with the Worst Gift Wrapper in America (which, I guarantee…is not Sarah either!  After spending an hour on her website…maybe I DO qualify for this contest!)

Seize Columbus Day With IKEA Breakfast & Sales! (10/11/08-10/13/08)

Love it when IKEA seizes the days! They seized two weekends last month, and they’re at it again this weekend! If you’ve never been to IKEA - I highly recommend them. As I’ve said before, their furniture styles are not my furnishing style, but with two stories of products (at amazing prices, even without a sale), a household treasure can always be found!

The best deal this weekend?  Laminate flooring at $0.49 per square foot, with seven colors from which to choose (and a 15-year warranty)!
