Happy Tax Day! This is like Christmas…except for the part where we only give gifts to the Internal Revenue Service. Here’s my gift to the IRS (a bit of wisdom): It’s better to GIVE than to RECEIVE
.

Hopefully, tax day is just another day for most of you, but regardless of whether you’ve already filed your taxes, or have waited until the last possible minute, here are a few ways to relax and enjoy the day without putting yourself in a higher tax bracket!
By my calculations, I’ve received 63 emails about this offer, and I’ve not ignored any of them! Yes, the company is legitimate, their customer service is very prompt and courteous (should you need to deal with them), and everyone (18 and over) is eligible to receive AT LEAST an extra $25…in less than 24 hours!
First of all, RevolutionMoneyExchange is a great new SECURE way to send/receive/transfer money online…I should say it’s a great SECURE and FREE method of online transferring, and a fabulous alternative to Paypal’s fees! For the next few days (through 04/15/08), everyone who registers for a free account will receive $25. To earn more than $25, simply refer your friends and family, and you’ll receive an additional $10 for each one who registers (up to a total of $500).
20/20 Research is recruiting men and women for an online bulletin board study scheduled for April 28th and 29th. Participants will be asked to log in to the study for a total of 30-45 minutes, on each of those two days, to answer questions posed by the moderator on the topic of health conditions. Those who qualify and complete the study will receive an honorarium of $75.

One of our readers submitted the following question :
I was wondering whether (or how) the products and/or cash or other compensation received from participating in surveys, consumer panels, etc. is taxed. Do you have to keep track of this and report it as income?
Thanks, Kate - great question!
Hagin/Sinclair Research Recruiting is scheduling individuals to participate in a one-hour project that requires uploading photos to a website (your photos will be kept confidential and seen only by Hagin/Sinclair’s research team). Participants may complete the project all at once, or take their time by completing sections at a time. At the end of the study, each participant should have only spent an hour on the project, and each will receive a $75 honorarium.

The Advanced Strategy Center is recruiting individuals to participate in a one-hour online study taking place on Tuesday, March 18, from 7pm to 8pm EDT. The study is designed to collect feedback on a key market message about a specific brand that includes an endorsement aspect from a professional athlete. Those who qualify and complete the online study will receive a $300 honorarium from Harris Interactive (an online polling partner with The Advanced Strategy Center for this specific project).
