Walgreens has five free items this week. That means you have five free opportunities to brighten someone’s day by dropping off something they can use – well, some of the items are okay, but I recommend not dropping off the Dulcolax, unless you’re REALLY good friends!  Maybe just stick with the ChapStick and Robitussin To Go!

Tips for Beginners:

  • RRs are Register Rewards (gift certificates that print at the end of your receipt). Instead of paying cash for your next purchase, pay with RRs!
  • Register Reward deals can be repeated, but only one Register Reward per RR deal will print in a single transaction.
  • Do not use Register Rewards from one RR deal to pay for an RR deal from the same manufacturer. If used to pay for an RR deal from the same manufacturer, the completed transaction will not produce another Register Reward.
  • Use Walgreens and manufacturers’ coupons to save even more money with Register Reward deals.  One Walgreens coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon may be used to purchase one item, but you can’t have more coupons than items in any transaction.

Thanks, Kate – awesome deal!  Through 11:59pm on 07/21/09, purchase a coupon code from 1 Sale A Day for $9.99, valid for one free pair of prescription eyeglasses from Glasses Unlimited!

Glasses Unlimited

Choose from over 3,000 frames – and each order comes with a free hard case, cleaning cloth, spare nose pads, and screws! Need to order multiple pairs of eyeglasses? The same coupon code can be used in a multiple-item order!

If you’ve never shopped with free Walgreens cash before, this is a great week to start! Thanks to the Ecotrin Aspirin deal, you can purchase several boxes, pay $0 out of pocket, and earn $2 in Register Rewards for each box (just make sure that you pay for each box in a separate transaction).  You could then use those Register Rewards to pay for other items on this week’s list of deals, and earn additional RRs…or you could use them to pay for just about anything else in-store!

If you thought you’d never see a “free drugs” article on iMommies…never say never!  Thanks to Janell for sharing!  There’s been quite a bit of media coverage, but for those who may have missed it, Pfizer is offering up to one year of free prescription medications to individuals who have recently become unemployed (since January 1, 2009).

Target coupons now carry the “one offer per transaction” disclaimer, but this applies to Target coupons only and does not restrict the combined usage of a manufacturer’s coupon and a Target coupon for one item.  Though some stores may still permit more than one Target coupon per transaction, be prepared for multiple transactions/visits soon.

Janine is offering a giveaway for iMommies readers!

Janine LaTulippe

My name is Janine LaTulippe and I am a stay at home mom.  Three years ago I went to Mexico for my honeymoon, and when we returned, I started to get sick.  My doctor said that I had caught a bacteria, and after taking all of the prescribed antibiotics, the doctor said that it was gone, but I still had digestive issues…until just last month.

Last month I began taking a new antioxidant supplement called Jus.  Jus is the world’s most powerful antioxidant supplement, an all-natural blend of 23 superfoods.  I’m sure you all know the importance of eating fruits and vegetables (the FDA suggests getting 9-13 servings daily), but who has time to purchase, prepare, and eat five cups of fruits and vegetables everyday?

Fieldwork is recruiting individuals between the ages of 18 and 65, who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, to participate in an upcoming telephone interview.  Those who qualify and participate will receive $85.

Fieldwork

(While I pray that none of you suffer from the effects of MS, I realize that there are over 10,000 new patients diagnosed every year, and countless others who go undiagnosed.  I prefer not to feature clinical studies that require testing of new treatments, but there are national and international clinical trials and studies for Multiple Sclerosis and a myriad of other illnesses.  For those of you who have emailed to ask about such studies, click HERE for a current list of MS-related clinical studies and click HERE for a list of other clinical trials.)
