According to the 2008 New American Diner Study, 80% of Americans make weekday dining decisions based primarily on convenience. I was surprised at that number – really expected it to be more along the lines of 99%! I’m not sure exactly how it happened, but I could swear that there are now only four hours in a day…what happened to the other 20?!
As part of my quest to be less mealtime LAST-minute, I’ve tried a myriad of different recipes, and the next on my list is from Robin Miller’s Mealtime Minute with Tyson…Brisket Quesadillas with Creamy Salsa Dip. They’re intended as an appetizer using Tyson’s Braised Beef Brisket with Mild Chili Sauce, but if served with a bowl of pinto beans or a side of Spanish rice, this should actually be a faster and less expensive dinner than a last-minute call to On The Border. Best of all, these quesadillas require no expertise beyond combining ingredients and heating in a pan!
What do you think? Looks pretty good, right? And Robin Miller only took about a minute to explain it, so it already seems like a ”Quick Fix“! Robin has published six other quick recipes using Tyson’s Fully Cooked Heat ‘N Eat Dinner Meats, so if you’re not in the mood for Tex-Mex, there are alternatives! Each recipe requires one dinner meat and serves a family of four.
Alright, I don’t like to cook alone, so if you’d like to join me on my latest attempt at a tasty quick dinner, enter to win a set of four free product coupons (valued at up to $6.99 each and valid through 02/01/10) for Tyson’s Fully Cooked Heat ‘N Eat Dinner Meats (available in your grocer’s refrigerated meat department).
To enter the drawing, leave a comment below by Midnight CDT on Sunday, October 11th.
Increase your chances to win by earning bonus entries! Post the giveaway on Twitter, Facebook, blogs, other networking sites, etc. Leave one comment for each bonus entry, and include the link to your post/site in your comment.

As always, the shopping list assumes that you’re not a Sunday newspaper coupon clipper. Substantial savings (time and money) may still be acquired by printing only the specific coupons needed from Target’s bi-weekly printable coupons and manufacturer coupons.
Click HERE to print the shopping list below.
Professional Couponing: Target allows the use of one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon per item, so be sure to be sure to check out Attention Target Shoppers for a list of Target deals matched with manufacturers’ clipped coupons!
Coupon Printing Options: The “TQ” (Target Coupon) links above are linked to Organic Grocery Deals. Select the desired coupons, type in the quantity needed, and then click Get Coupons. To save on your household’s supply of ink and paper, the most recently released coupons may be printed at the Target gift registry kiosks. (The Target kiosks print slowly and print only one coupon per page, so take an extra dose of patience, if you intend to go this route!)

Synopsis:
Drew Barrymore makes her directorial debut with Whip It!, the story of an ex-beauty pageant contestant named Bliss (played by Juno’s Ellen Page) who leaves her crowns behind after joining a roller-derby team. The Mandate Pictures production was written by roller derby star-turned-screenwriter Shauna Cross.

Synopsis:
Recent college graduate Ryden Malby (Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel) has just survived four years of higher education, but when she’s forced to move back into her childhood home, the stress of dealing with her eccentric family, landing a job, and finding the right guy leaves her with precious little time to ponder where her life is truly heading. Shrek and Shark Tale’s co-director Vicky Jenson takes the helm for a comedy co-starring Michael Keaton, Carol Burnett, Zach Gilford, and Rodrigo Santoro, and produced by Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock in collaboration with Joe Medjuck and Jeff Clifford.
