Wal-Mart has joined the ranks of CVS, Disney, Pentel, and others…they’re starting an online community of shoppers who are willing to spend 5-15 minutes per week providing feedback on everything-Wal-Mart! In exchange for the insight and opinions provided, “consultant” shoppers like YOU will be rewarded with Wal-Mart gift cards!
Chasen Research is recruiting individuals to participate an online market research study on the topic of grocery shopping. Those who qualify and participate will receive $75 for a 90-minute online research study taking place Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 3:30pm EST.

If you’ve not yet been to IKEA, they have items for EVERY home! The furniture is not my style, but they have a huge two-story inventory of linens, organizational gadgets, dishes and utensils, artwork, and more…in addition to their furniture lines. Their prices are excellent, and I’ve never walked out of IKEA empty-handed!
With exceptions for special promotions, you’ve probably noticed a trend with Restaurant.com…the gift certificate discounts start out each month near 50% off the purchase price, and the discount generally increases toward the end of each month. The reason? Gift certificates are in limited supply through Restaurant.com, and the supply of the most popular establishments is quickly depleted at the beginning of the month. As we reach the end of the month, the less common restaurants still have gift certificates remaining, and Restaurant.com works to move them out for new inventory the following month.
If your favorite restaurants have already sold out of gift certificates through Restaurant.com, either try a new restaurant, or wait until the first week of the month for a new supply of your favorites. While the discounts at the beginning of the month aren’t as substantial, it’s still better than paying full price! If you’re interested in trying something new, all gift certificates are available at a 60% discount through Sunday, August 31st. Purchase $25 gift certificates for $4!
