One-Day Pass To Sam’s Club (January 2008)

Sam’s Club offers periodic passes to their stores in an attempt to draw in new customers.  Depending on your bulk shopping habits, it may make sense to simply shop there with these one-day passes, which are distributed several times a year.  When shopping with the one-day pass, a 10% fee is typically applied to your total purchase…so if you don’t intend to spend more than $500 per year (based on a $50/year membership - dues vary), the one-day pass is a great alternative to paying annual membership fees.

Stock The Pantry 01/24/08: Free Jane Cosmetics

Many thanks to Money Saving Mom for this coupon find!  I’m a rather loyal cosmetics shopper - loyal in the sense that I purchase it regularly, but also because I rarely depart from my regular make-up products.  When you find something you love…stick with it!  Homemade Ranch Dressing, Big Sexy hair care, and Physician’s Formula Bronzer/Blush!  (No, those aren’t the three things I would bring with me as I sit stranded on a deserted island!)  Love and loyalty go a long way…but free has it’s place too.  If it cost nothing out of pocket, most of us could be persuaded to at least TRY something new.  (Hmm - yeah, I could…couldn’t I?!)

Jane Cosmetics

That train of thought is not lost on product manufacturers and retailers…they realize that many consumers tend to stick with the trusty products that have yet to fail them UNLESS they’re given a reason to try something different.  We all have our breaking points when it comes to brand-loyalty, and that break usually occurs with price or the promise of something better than what we would ordinarily purchase.
